"I feel like I have my life back," said Debbie Purdy, whose health is deteriorating, after the ruling by the Law Lords, Britain's highest court of appeal.
The 46-year-old had feared that, without the clarification, she would have had to travel earlier to commit suicide unaided abroad, as her husband would otherwise risk jail for helping her.
"We can live our lives. We don't have to plan my death," said the 46-year-old, speaking outside the House of Lords.
